Doshi's poetry.

I never understand what to call this kind of poetry she has turned out, and why Harper -collins gave in to take it for publication. What kind of rationale was it? It's neither poetry nor prose in its form. The disconnected images strung into the "form " of poetry can never be poetry, if you censure it by traditional standards of poetry. Doshi is no respector of the tradition of writing poetry, with all accoutrements of heightenedemotional imagination spruced up with an image or a symbol. But beyond this, this kind of collection of poetry veers towards more prosaic rather then esthetics of poetry. Except for the captivating titles,I never get the emotionally -charged poetry. Even if Doshi had chosen formlessness, there should have been rythmic resonance heightend emotional appeal. Where are they? I'm afraid one can't yield to such poetry. This critque is not meant to denigrate Doshi, but it causes much hear-burn from the traditional point of writing poetry.
